Desolation Sound

There are few place on earth that rival the shear beauty of Desolation Sound.

If you want to feel very small try paddling amongst the towering peaks of this area.

Mt Denman (top right), is one of the most prominent peaks of the Coast Mountain range.

Calm paddling

On a calm day paddling is virtually effortless.

Our trips are fun

Although this is one of the most stunning places to paddle, what is often remembered most, is the pure fun enjoyed on the trip. .

Sailing away

Paddling is not the only way to get from point A to B.

Sailing is a great way to give the arms a rest and to give boats passing by another reason to think kayakers are a crazy lot.

Group photo

Rafting up is a great way to get a group photo. Check out Mt Denman in the back ground looking as ominous as ever.

Tranquil paddling

Desolation Sound boasts some of the best weather on the coast. When the weather is foul in other parts of BC, Desolation can be like the picture at left. This is a great early season or fall place to paddle.

Shane rolling

Shane is one of our guides who spent many years paddling white water.

His strong paddling skills come in handy when the weather warms up and the group is looking for a little entertainment.

Fishing

It is always fun to try our luck at fishing. We do not like to promise fishing on our trips, but if you and your guide are equipped and can find the time to fit it in....go for it.

The Eagle

A common sight on all our tours is the Bald Eagle. Their are few animals that capture the spirit of the wild as does this majestic bird.

If we are lucky we will get a chance to see it swoosh down and take a fish from the water.
