Islands kayaking
- 5 day tour |

With
the majestic Coast Mountain Range in view, this island
paradise hosts one of the most picturesque backdrops
on the coast.
|

|
The
Tour
This classic sea kayaking adventure through the Discovery
Islands offers everything one would want in a kayak tour:
a variety of waterways, scenic surroundings, magical coastline,
abundant wildlife, island culture, and places of solitude.
|
|
The
Experience
Experience
the natural phenomenon of the ever changing currents of
these narrow passageways. Camp under the stars on a small
island and savour the tranquility of the delightful Octopus
Islands. Hikes up to pristine lakes will allow us to stretch
our legs and enjoy refreshing dips in crystal clear spring
waters. We feel that this tour is truly a classic!

The
Dals Porpoise
The fastest
swimming mammal on earth. We
may also see white sided dolphins as well as Harbour
porpoises on this tour.
|
|
The
Area
Nestled
between Vancouver Island and the mainland Coast Mountains,
the Discovery Islands are becoming a popular kayaking
destination for all levels of paddlers. Still unscathed
by large numbers of kayakers, this area offers an endless
amount of exploring for the adventurous paddler.
Situated
in the northern reaches of the Strait of Georgia we are
blessed with some of the best weather on the coast making
this suitable for year round kayaking. One of the most
impressive features of this area is the tidal currents
found at Surge Narrows. These waters can be treacherous
to pass at full flood, but at slack tide we will guide
you safely through this passage, enabling us to view the
spectacular inter tidal life of these nutrient rich waters.
|
|
Our
Campsites
Our
campsites are carefully selected on small islands either
in the coastal rainforests or on rocky bluffs, offering
delightful views from the doorstep of your tent.
